The Traverse of the Meije

The traverse is a superb, high level mountain route, taking 2 or 3 days, comprising:
- Day 1 - La Grave, the Enfetchores ridge, the Brèche de la Meije (3358m) and descent to the Promontoire hut (3092m) on the south ridge of the mountain.
- Day 2 - Start very early, The Grand Pic de la Meije (3983m), traverse to the Pic de Doigt de Dieu (3973m) and on to the Aigle hut (3450m)
- Day 3 - Meije Orientale (3891m) and descent to Pied du Col via the Trebuchet Glacier
